What
Bradford Treatment has meant to our family
Alcoholism and drug addiction had turned our family
into a confused, wounded, hateful and hopeless bunch
of people. Bradford has given us the possibility and
opportunity for recovery.
Bradford
has given us some honest facts and education about
the nature of this sickness. It helps to know what
alcoholism, chemical dependancy and co-dependancy
are and what can be done about it.
Bradford
has given us counseling to try to rebuild our lives,
learn how to communicate with each other in a healthy
way and accept reality.
Bradford
has given us tools to keep healthy mentally, physically
and spiritually. My husband and I both work recovery
through AA, CA, Alanon and Bradford after care meetings
to focus on our individual health and growth.
Bradford
has given us friends in these after care programs,
picnics, and conferences. These friends understand
the problems alcoholism burdens a family with and
the comfort of understanding friends and staff has
given us so much support.
Bradford
has given us hope! To see other alcoholic addicts
actually staying sober and rebuilding their lives
with God, family and employers has been so encouraging.
I'll never forget the first banquet I attended at
the Bradford Gulf shores convention. When Alcoholics
stood up to proclaim their 6 months, 1 year, 5 years,
10 years, 25 years of sobriety my heart lifted. I
know that recovery was actually possible
And
Recovery has been a wonderful process that makes me
thankful. I am thankful for Bradford.
