BROOKWOOD-PARKSIDE-BRADFORD ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The Brookwood-Parkside-Bradford Alumni Association began as an idea shared by many of the program’s patients and their families. The association's primary purpose is to provide a positive support group for the membership, and a core of volunteers to assist others while in treatment. Since 1984, the association has proved to be a source of great benefit to both newcomers and those "carrying the message." The traditions of caring and support have continued through all its years of existence, and are the guiding principles in all its undertakings.

In addition to events held by local Alumni Chapters, the Alumni Association holds two statewide functions each year. Along with Bradford Health Services, the Alumni Association sponsors annual reunion picnics during the summer and the annual meeting in Gulf Shores, Alabama in September.

The Alumni Association adopted as its continuing theme "Beginners and Winners Sticking Together" and it continues to draw "Winners" in recovery into the group. The association offers the opportunity to be with other recovering patients and families, to meet new people across the state, renew friendships, and to practice the "12th Step" in an atmosphere conducive to recovery.
